MEMBERSHIP
Membership
of is open to all registered Trade Unions of employees.
The current membership of is
over 1.5 million. More activities on organisation and recruitment are going on. Plans are
underway to buy vehicles and assist the affiliates of COTU (K) in their
organisational campaigns. Even though we are faced with challenges of
globalisation that have brought with it issue of retrenchments and redundancies
unions are coming up with strategies of increasing membership.
Further,
our educational activities have an aspect of equipping trade unionists with
organisational and recruitment skills geared towards improving/increasing union
membership.
